Houses

Siding, soffits, trim and sills.

Most of what we do. Low pressure and the right cleaner, and then the parts a hose never reaches.

A long arc of water reaching the second story of a gray sided house from the ground
Two stories of siding, all of it reached from the ground
A worker standing at a roof edge washing down over a scalloped awning while water pours off it
Working down from the roof edge, over the awning and the window
A worker running a long extension wand up a cream stucco wall above a set of french doors, with the sun flaring over the roofline
Stucco, done on an extension wand instead of a ladder
A worker spraying the siding of a large two gable house with stone accents, the driveway already wet
A two gable front, taken one gable at a time
Two workers washing a house with a long covered front porch, one out on the walkway and one in under the porch roof
A long front porch, and the walk that runs up to it

Roofs

Soft wash only, every time.

A roof gets low pressure and the right cleaner. Pressure takes the granules off shingles and they do not grow back.

Two workers on the red metal roof of a brick house, with a ladder run up to the eave
Red metal on a brick house, worked from the ridge down
A worker standing on a shingle roof running low pressure cleaner down the slope above yellow siding
Shingles take the soft wash and nothing harder
A worker sitting astride the ridge of a shingle roof, spraying down the slope toward a stucco house wall
Sat on the ridge and worked it down both sides
A close view of a hand and a soft wash wand running cleaner down shingles above a yellow soffit
In close at the eave, where the black streaks start

Driveways and concrete

The one surface that takes real pressure.

Concrete can take it and it needs it. The surface cleaner does the open field and the wand does every edge.

A concrete driveway half washed, with a hard line between the clean side and the dirty side and the surface cleaner still on it
One pass with the surface cleaner, and there is the line
A wide concrete driveway with clean streaks fanned out across the dirty surface where the wash has started
A few passes in, and the drive tells on itself
A worker running a surface cleaner on the concrete lane in front of a tall dark driveway gate, with mist coming off it
The concrete lane up at the gate
A worker walking a round surface cleaner across a driveway in front of a craftsman house with a wood garage door
A driveway apron, walked end to end
A concrete walkway running along the side of a brick house, wet and foaming, with lawn on the other side
The walk down the side of the house, which most people forget

Decks and fences

Wood, at the lowest pressure that works.

Old boards take less than anything else we clean. Too much and you raise the grain instead of getting it clean.

A long wooden boardwalk running down through trees toward a lake, half of it already washed
A boardwalk down to the water, a board at a time
A worker in rubber boots running a wand down the boards of a lakeside boardwalk
Low pressure on old boards, or you raise the grain
A worker washing the foot of a tall weathered privacy fence around a concrete pad, the boards still green with algae
Starting in on a fence with green in every board
The same fenced enclosure later in the job, with the concrete pad run down and the worker further along the fence
Same corner further on, with the pad run down

Commercial and downtown

Churches, storefronts and lots.

Same two men and the same cleaner. A taller ladder when it needs one, and a lift when the ladder will not do it.

A boom lift raised beside the white steeple of a brick church, with a worker in the basket
Washing a church steeple from our own boom lift
Spray arcing past the top of a white church steeple from a raised boom lift basket
Up at the top of it, where nothing has been cleaned in years
A worker standing on a church roof spraying a white steeple, with clean streaks running back down the shingles
Another steeple, this one reached off the roof
A gas station forecourt being washed, with the A1 truck and trailer parked on the wet pavement
A gas station lot, washed end to end
A worker washing the glass front of the Farmington Market store, with a surface cleaner sitting on the sidewalk
Storefront glass, and the sidewalk in front of it
A worker on a tall ladder washing the brick front of a two story building on Depot Street
Downtown brick, washed a stripe at a time off the ladder
A worker spraying a black restaurant awning while a second runs a surface cleaner on the walkway below
A restaurant awning, and the walk underneath it
A worker washing caked mud off the front of a yellow track loader in a muddy lot
Mud off a track loader, which is its own kind of job

The crew and the rig

Who shows up, and what they bring.

Two trucks, a tank trailer, and the same faces on your property every time.

Three A1 crew members standing in front of the lettered company truck
The crew, and the truck that pulls into your driveway
Robert and a younger crew member shaking hands in front of the A1 truck
Robert and the second pair of hands on most jobs
Robert scrubbing a soapy concrete walkway with a long push broom outside a storefront
Some of it is still a broom and a bucket
An A1 Pressure Washing yard sign at the roadside with the truck parked in the driveway behind it
The sign at the road, and the truck in the drive behind it
The back of the A1 service body, lettered with the service list, the phone number and licensed bonded and insured
Licensed and insured, and it says so on the back
The side of the A1 truck listing roof wash, houses, decks, driveways, gutter cleaning, new gutters, gutter guards and handyman
Everything we do fits on one door panel
The flag wrapped A1 truck parked on the lawn in front of a white ranch house
Parked on the grass at a house out in the county
